How my heart sings

Mainly poetry illustrated by beautiful photographs and digital art

Day: May 19, 2022

Heaven

We cast down lilies in the road.

It’s to us a well known code

We think the. Bread of Heaven’s come

Hitler eats it crumb by çrumb

Design

Flowers by nature so designed

Appeal to both the heart and mind

First perceive and then dwell on

Beauty truth and hence reason

Flowers

Astounded by the gentleness of flowers

Coloured angels help us through the hours

Nature is not minimal but lush.

Hush my baby,Hush my baby hush.

An alien

A Man from Mars would love the flowers so lush

The rambling rose the roses in a bush.

Delphiniums,foxgloves,herbs to make men blush

See the baby blackbird and the thrush.

The government

By Katherine

I hear now they have kicked Love down the road.

They won’t pay the price, the cock has crowed

My toad

The government kicked the can across the road

Destroyed the home of Alfred my pet toad.

If only Alfred lived inside the house .

Never would he suffer such a bounce.

Alas he speaks no English though he’s bright.

I don’t know yet if adult toads can bite
