Love as if  today’s your last

Broken teeth and feet of clay
Sunday now so let us pray
Lord we’re lost and ruled by knaves
Yet they tell us we are saved
Pray for peace and pray for aid
Pray for drowning emigres
How can  the rich toy with  young girls
Deny they’ve sinned,deny they erred
Why are people still so poor
Making clothes for us to wear
Better by a million  times
Was saving up  and playing games
I bought  my satchel, bought my pen
Then  my life  of  rhymes began
Come back neighbours, come back care
We are here and   we will dare
Love as if  today’s your last
Life goes by,  let’s be our best
