We were happy, lying in the grass
watching the sun set,
arms around each other.
Seemed like eternal life had come
Earlier than forecast

They need new training.
I’ll remember you for always
in that timeless moment
in between two raindrops,
in between two tears.

I loved the poem “In between two raindrops.” It is so fresh, so seemingly simple and straightforward, but haunting and bittersweet — especially on Valentine’s Day.. I especially liked the lines “Seemed like eternal life had come / Earlier than forecast.”
