What to worry about when you have nothing to worry about

1.If you leave your bedroom window wide open in hot weather it might get struck by lightning  as a storm generally arrives here in the heat and you will have to have all the windows in the house replaced which costs thousands.And where will you live meanwhile?
2.Or someone might climb a ladder,enter and steal your computer or TV or your fake jewellery.
3.Should you buy some cotton dresses/trousers as you are too hot but then it is nearly August and so it will soon be autumn and how can you decide.
4 If you wear open toed sandals might you trip  on a paving stone?
5.Is it wasteful heating hot water and then being too tired to have a bath?
6.Should you visit someone you don’t like much as you know they are lonely or will it be better to allow them to realise nobody wants to see them because they are egoistical and they might be able to change if left alone? Or as that is unlikely,what ought you to do?
7.Is it ethical to go to church just to meet people?
8.Is it ethical to go to an Urgent Care Centre to talk to people in the waiting room for your research  into  why people visit such places without telling anyone in the hospital?
9.Is it ethical to go because you like their coffee?
10.Or you are lonely?
11 Should  the PM curtsey?Should the Pope curtsey to our Queen?
12 Should the Queen kiss the Pope’s ring?
13 Should you leave the washing out all night ?
14 Was the owl you saw today real or plastic? Does it matter?

Epitaph on a Tyrant by W. H. Auden

Epitaph on a Tyrant

Perfection, of a kind, was what he was after,

And the poetry he invented was easy to understand;
He knew human folly like the back of his hand,
And was greatly interested in armies and fleets;
When he laughed, respectable senators burst with laughter,
And when he cried the little children died in the streets.
