Saltburn beach or Staithes

I wish I were in Yorkshire on the moors

Lying in the heather there for hours

Laughing at the bees around our heads

As we lay in this, our marriage bed.

I’d like to see the Cleveland hills again

At sunset when we’re driving southlands home

I’d like to go to Yarm and see the stone

Richmond with its past and ancient bone

We went up to high force to see the falls

The River Tees unbounded by by town walls.

I wish we were on Saltburn beach or Staithes

Nothing is as lonely as a wave

What is the dance?
