    1. Thank you,Afzal.I am learning that you have to keep looking carefully at the object you are drawing whereas in ordinary life we may not do that. It’s nice sometimes to get away from words too.:)

      1. Oh I’m sure it is a nice way to get away from words 🙂

Your works are so ‘real’ and that makes them especially wonderful.

Take care and keep on keeping on, my friend.

Peace and Equality and Love for All ✌

      2. Thank you so much.I refuse to believe we are ever too old to learn something new.Even if some of my drawings are really awful!
I find it is so good that people from far away can share these things.

      3. so very true … never too old at all – and none of your drawings are awful, I can assure you that, on the contrary I find them as I said ‘real’ and they strike a chord with me … so they have touched another soul – and this soul wishes you well and may you keep drawing, Katherine.

warmest wishes and regards as always.

      4. I got the impression that he and his friend had some trouble getting down again. But he missed it.He loved the country.I am very warm and my neighbours will get groceries for me.I think people like helping others and we have a good mix of people… one whose dad is from Somalia and one whose mum and dad came from India and her husband is Irish.I am very fortunate.

      5. How wonderful to hear about the warmth and mix of different cultures and people from countries a long way away. Scaling the ‘berg an amazing accomplishment am always in awe of people who dare to do the hard and challenging things in life.

      6. My husband was brought up near the Pennine mountains but I got the feeling his friend got into trouble. He was a bit of a daredevil.Don’t be in awe.He was just an ordinary person who did what he could. He used to say to me,Never tell anyone anything they don’t need to know.
When in doubt, say nowt ‘[ nothing]

      7. brilliant advice and coming from a real daredevil! the mountains we love so much are such wonderful reminders of just how small we really are in this world we share with so many other living beings – always a good reminder to be humbler and not get too big for our boots. your husband sounds like an amazing man and human being. warmest wishes dear friend
