At a laboratory in my mind
a sample of cerebral cells
are observed to divulge
Emotional destruction
Grey matter inchoate
Ugly scabs blistering
Dendrites damaged
Synapses smashed
Neurons numbed
Stasis shattered
Reflex wrecked
Cells severed;
of ego or id
not a sign
Just pain
of love
gone
