Imagination’s home

I find it very difficult to read my own handwriting!
Sometimes there are good reasons for this such as we want to remain private even to ourselves. Sometimes it’s because you’re left-handed etc and we don’t write as much now with pens. My dad used to do illuminated gold script that was used in churches and he did very beautiful writing but then he died when he was young so I don’t know what would have happened that he got older
But doing something like that is different from ordinary writing of letters or lists etc
What your Father did was exceptional work…there would be very few people today able to do illuminated manuscripts. Do you have any examples of his work?
I do think that in this day and age with computers etc. so many of us have lost writing skills. I actually had to write properly when I was at school, but these days, I tend to ‘scrawl’……and do most of my writing on my computer…
