Excellent article….
I have been reading some detective stories by Nicolas freeling and interestingly he often mentions Jane Austen. In one novel he even uses her writing to help somebody with cancer…. And to think she never even went to university or art school or possibly never went to school at all but observed the people around her.
As a writer or artist OBSERVATION is key…No university can replace that….
I was trying to be ironical. I think that perceiving and seeing and observing is not given enough emphasis in society.
Thinking is not of much value without that. Thinking maybe overvemphasized in our society
