    1. It’s the media possibly it’s hard to be sure we are too influenced by American ideas our culture is much more rich than American culture in my view
      If they produce some wonderful artists and writers but generally a lot of the States is a very uncivilized place otherwise Donald Trump would never have got anywhere near being the president.
      And I hope he’s not going to get back in there but my instinct is that Harris is going to win nl. Thank you for commenting Nikki. I hope you have a lovely weekend

      1. Yes. Agreed. Although thinking it through we did vote in Boris over here. Similar to Trump maybe not quite as extreme. Harris will be first female President 🤞 Have a great weekend too!

      2. PS Their culture is seeded in the culture of all the European colonists. It’s so interesting to think about how the American way of life came about…

        Yes agreed our culture is richer. Apart from tax evasion it is still our greatest export to the planet 🌎

      4. On reflection I think I am wrong. There’s only a relatively small number of people who will be regarded as cultured then there’s a lot of very poor frighten people who don’t know how to live in the circumstances of power current and light recent governments closure of industries and lack of jobs
        In fact I don’t know what culture is really but when I was growing up in a working class area there was a lot of interesting music classical music going to concerts when the Liverpool philharmonic came to our town or the halle orchestra
        I don’t feel that is present any more.
        It’s easier to watch the television

      5. Culture is just stuff we do sculptured by the times we live and love in. Agreed telly makes us more passive when we could be making a Welsh dresser or a record or a cake.
        I don’t know either…I think little your own little life is probably a huge and wonderful act of rebellion to modern life.
        I’m obsessed with bringing people closer together whether they want to or not 😂🧡

      6. Yes seeing people doing stuff as you walk about doesn’t seem to happen much just for fun of free. Everything and everyone has been monetised up to the hilt. Hopefully some new paths will emerge off the one we are currently on 🤞
