      1. It is hard to believe that people like that are in positions of authority or demand that their horrible views be accepted by others.Something wrong…

      2. so true, Katherine. something really wrong. and terrifying that they ascend to power – we’ve seen it so many times before but as someone once said that the one thing we learn from history is that we really don’t learn anything at all. BUT we the people can and must resist. each in our small way – the world is too precious to let peddlers of hate prevail.

      3. Yes,indeed.Freud had a low opinion of human nature yet there are many people, maybe humble people, who do a lot of good.We can add our little offerings as much as possible.:)

      4. so true and there are so many people, humble people as you say who do so much without wanting the accolades and yes we can add our little bit as much as possible ✌✊👍☮

      5. I have found when suffering it is the humble people who are kindest. And I do what I can.But power seems to ruin people.Yet a nman at the buss top tried to persuade ne Trump was great. This man is a Science teacher.People delude themselves.,alas.Yet we then have Mandela for axample…

      6. you are so right – so often it is the ones who have little or hardly anything at all that are the most generous and warm and kind. and you can say that again, power does something – that science teacher should explore the relationship between amassing power and wealth and influence and their toxic effects on the human brain and psyche – the cliche of absolute power etc is a cliche and because it is true – and yes we’ve had the Mandelas and the Martin Luther Kings and the Tony Benns and so many more – and they give us hope even though they do not walk with us today – they give us hope that a better, kinder, gentler way is possible as we each in our little ways aspire for a better world – after all it does take each drop to fill a bucket as they say

      7. And it makes us feel happier when we do what we can for our fellow human beings and ourselves as we can be very cruel to ourself without realising it.Jesus preferred the poor and those despised. So true every drop helps

      8. so very true – Jesus loved the poor and despised – and Jesus was a revolutionary in so many ways – we could all do really emulating his example rather than just preaching his message – to live it is the challenge I think for us all
