In statistics we use  very odd words;
Quartiles and deciles absurd.
But we need them to perceive
How raw  numbers deceive.
To get a grip so that knowledge is shared.

The more deeply we wish to see
The more words unusual  there’ll be.
Deviations and ranges—
How what we see changes
Uncertainly we make our plea.
