New malware

I am afraid my laptop got infected with malware which looked like Onedrive.. One system  cleaner it was called.It took Microsoft 3  hours to get it out.I didn’t recall clicking any thing odd.Anyway I saw malwarebytes eliminator recommended.Mcafee didn’t find it or stop my problems…so with that and the other stuff I feel like leaving home.

  1. I have found the Kaspersky Rescue Disk is very effective in such cases (I have no connection with Kaspersky other than as a user). Once installed on a CD or memory stick, it runs its own operating system, so that it get at malware hidden inside Windows.

Thanks very much,Mike.I have got used to the Chromebook which is kept safe by Google but it doesn’t have certain features.I shall only use that for browsing in future.This problem was linked to Edge and One Drive as well.I shall look at Kaspersky.Ironically they say Windows 10 is very safe without additional anti-virus but recommend Malwarevytes anti exploit which is free.:)
