Yes,especially if they don’t realise that most people don’t understand or mat never have heard of some of their favourite topics.It’s interesting mainly because you can see how they try to generalise..in the original research.I suppose people who write poetry or have similar interests might be more sensitive than others and their reactions might be seen as excessive by thicker skinned people….. like me being told off fr being anxious 48 hours before my husband died!!Life.
I suspect that, because very high IQ people are likely to have different interests from most of the population, they are liable to be described as ‘odd’ or even ‘mad’.
