Good news ,not much bruising but need folic acid

My GP says I look so much better and less strained  now he can hardly believe it…. despite the grief.I suppose being totally responsible for an older person is very wearing no matter how much you love them.I had 13 blood tests and only one was wrong… folic acid.So I have to take some tablets for that…

He also enquired if I was lonely, did I have other interests etc,, si I mentioned my blog and said how much it had helped me when I was stuck indoors for 9 weeks. He advised me not to rush into doing too many new things.Well so far I am trying to follow my own advice about keeping house.I have put labels in the chargers and put them all together, thrown out some cardboard boxes and bought some more scented geraniums and  other plants. And one person could sit down in here!Actually I feel uncomfortable if a house is too tidy and clean…afraid of treading dirt in.

My doctor was teasing me as he saw my kindle and said it was a pity they were not invented earlier as he noticed all my books when he visited…I have given some away but the Charity  Shops are now less keen on books as more people have kindles. So all I can do with some is recycle them.

  1. As Bushka wrote, it’s good that your GP is pleased. Nice, too, to know that the blog has been helpful. I spend quite a bit of time writing up my own on-line diaries on butterflies etc. I joked to a former colleague that it fills the gap left after endless report writing, when I was working!

    1. I think it helps partly because I enjoy writing but also it was something separate from my role as a wife and carer,Losing the wife part is hard but the doctor could see how much the caring had affected me.He’s only young so he possibly has not seen this type of thing. But he says it was amazing I kept Guy at home so long.Being in and out of hospital is not so nice.
I have collected some different types of geranium and pelargonium. One has rose scented leaves…I like plants but had to b uy them via Amazon!
I like your butterfly blog and Ros’s website.I must have a look there over the weekend.
Thanks very much for your comment and your lovely photos which can be seen by others here as well as on your own sites.:)

  2. Great to hear your GP is pleased with the way you are coping – accidents, notwithstanding. 😉 Yes, you will find your own ‘way’ through and into a ‘new life’ – as it were. 😉 x

    1. Yes thanks so much….,he said not to rush and I think he’s right.I will enjoy the good weather and admire my new plants which are still in pots… unsure what I am going to do with them yet.I have a rose scented leaf geranium by the front door… so my energy is improving…avoid crowds and busy buses and I should be safe.:)xx
