Limericks about writing

I thought writing poetry absurd.
But now I have found on line word.
We don’t have to pay
to write here all day…
this limerick is my 23rd

If you fancy writing one too
Here is the  way  so to do .
Get one good line
Recall the design..
Then go an as if I were you.

Some people like to write sonnets
I’d like to pen a whodunit
Because I am greedy
I always feel needy
So I need far more money,doggonit!

I want to design a new genre…
where rhyming is banned,good on y’!
And scanning is out
Spelling’s in doubt
But I shall  permit  double entendre
