I once fell in love with a pan

I once feel in love with a pan
It’s a well known phenomenon.
You go into the store
And right by the door
Is a pan with intrinsic elan.

This pan was made out of copper.
Just perfect for cooking our supper.
So I took out my plastic.
  Which is highly elastic!
I’m now quite the Princess of shoppers
